Happy Birthday to Eily!!!!

well...this post is 1 day overdue, but not as overdue as Miss Eily was! It is hard to believe that our little girl is seems like just yesterday that we headed to the hospital on snowy January day ... 10 days overdue, hoping that this would be the day we'd meet baby #2...

when she finally decided to make her arrival I was thrilled to hear it was a girl! When the doctor asked if we had a name, my husband and I replied at the same time...:Eily" "louisa"...whoops, I guess we had narrowed it down to our top 2 but hadn't finalized it yet!

Needless to say, Eily won out and today we are wishing her the Happiest Birthday Ever!!!! Love you little girl!

Now...for some fun birthday self & eily on the school bus going on a field trip yesterday!

Happy Birthday to our Sweet Girl Eily!

Meet Floppy....

I have been in love with the many softie creations on etsy that I decided to try making one of my own! I found this book at our local Barnes & Noble and fell in love with the adorable dog on the cover...

Leo, a dedicated curious george owner spotted the little dog and instantly
adopted him naming him "floppy"...floppy has had to go everywhere - even the skatepark - with Leo since I finished him!

Leo at the Skatepark...

last week Leo and I spent some time at the skatepark ... I brought fabric and
patterns to cut out and leo, his skateboard...who do you think had more fun???

Leo drops in the mini half-pipe for the 1st time!

Happy New Year!
The past few weeks have flown by with the craziness of the holidays taking over everyday life. It was hard to believe the good times were over yesterday as we waited for the bus in near sub-zero temps! We spent a lovely vacation visiting with family, skiing, playing, skating and hanging out in our pj's for hours on end. My sewing machines gathered a bit of dust as I took time off to just be with the was both relaxing and rejuvenating ! Among the holiday highlights was a new addition to the family!

We had the good fortune of adopting my aunt's 3 yeard old labradoodle - Dizzy, named for Jazz great Dizzy Gillespie! The kids were thrilled as they have known him since he was a puppy and he has the best disposition with the kids. I was thrilled because being an older dog it meant No Paper Training! Whoo Hoo - he barks at the door to be let out!

The kids had a blast sceeching behind him across the ice rink - he is almost 100 lbs and REALLY stong!

Leo got a drop spindle from castleman's shop on ETSY which put a huge smile on his face!
the kids also got these amazing masks and swords made by an artist friend of my brother and his wife. Watch out! Here they come!
Happy 2008!
Happy Birthday
to 2 of my littlest customers ~ Michal & Kenna!
I was thrilled when their mom contacted me to see if I could make them skirts using some of this FABULOUS Japanese import fabric with the gingerbread baby being chased by the big bad wolf! I set right to work, added coordinating tees and snuck them in the mail on Christmas Eve so that they could get to the girls over the winter break.

Their mom just emailed me the photos and I just LOVED how they came out and wanted to share their birthday cuteness with all of you!

So...Happy Birthday Girls!
Thanks for letting me be part of the celebration!
