First day of School.......

the kids started back this week & for the first time in 11 years I am without a child to care for the better part of my day....a little hard to wrap my mind around...summer flew by & we had so much fun together it was hard to see them get on the bus this week. But their smiles and stories when they tumbled down the bus steps at the end of the day eased some of the sense of loss....and makes me treasure each moment with them even more.

enough of my dithering... here are their happy faces on the 1st day!

OMG Kristen your kids are so cute! They are getting so big! Trust me they grow up fast. Then you will wish they were little again like I do. Enjoy them while they are young! Happy first day!

Hope they had a great week. My daughter just started 6th grade too.

Wonderful photos! It must be great that all your children really loves going to school. That would fulfill a wish for any parent, I believe. :)

so cute--my dd just started 7th--and I forgot to call you--we went to the fair--it was great--did you ever do the questions for the interview?

They are so cute! I hope they love school and you enjoy your free time...I know it must be hard letting them all go.

Very nice photography too. Everyone looks happy. I like the fingers too. A group of us just read a suggestion about using a sign with name, grade, year, teacher, etc... but I like the finger idea a lot! So simple!

What a beautiful way to preserve those memories! You are an incredible designer and if you ever use my upcoming fabrics I'd be delighted to see.
